Do people make money off presidential campaign?

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by admin

I’m trying to figure out why it’s the most overrated campaign/election. No one seems to wanna vote on the local levels. So are there incintives for campaigning, I know alot of money can be spent on campaigning, but what is really going on.

The dis-honest news media & advertisers get rich, from supporters contributing to candidates, & the candidates spend the contributions, to compete with each other.

If it was up to me I would outlaw political contributions…….but that would be communism, wouldn’t it.

i doubt that people would be doing it if there wasn’t money involved. the endorsements certainly pull in some money. publicity like that also opens doors for many offers. different places will ask them to come and be guest speakers etc…. it is a good oppurtunity financially

yeah! a lot of money is spent on the campaigning of the presidental elections but its not ALL coming from that person they have fundraisers and things like that so their not really out of pocket that much if they have a lot of supports!
BUT if they become president they will plenty of money to make up for all the money that they spent during the campaigning!

The ultimate "gift" for campaigning is if your guy gets elected you could end up with a high paying job either on his staff or in some other department …

Yes. Think of all the ads they buy and merchandise. They need food too. They stay in hotels as they travel around. Unfortunately, the people that make the most are business owners or corporate executives. It’s not the "little" people that actually do the work. Because of the electoral college, a lot of people do believe that their votes mean nothing.

They don’t make money in the way that most people view money. That is, they don’t earn a wage.

    1. Campaigns receive contributions and a lot of people, including the candidate, decide how that money is spent.
    2. Once a candidate becomes the official party candidate, more money is released to that candidate’s campaign on behalf of their party.
    3. Almost all expenses a candidate makes during campaign season is considered justified. A new suit, a campaign bus, a meal — these are regulated expenses that the candidate can use campaign money to pay for. So yes, they have money, but they are after power and influence rather than simple dollars and cents.

    YES!

Please don’t allow thier rants to fool you. They all take some amount of money from their preferted intrest groups to fund these campaigns.

The real question is: Do they vaule your intrest. These campaigns cost millions. an yes sadly I feel the biggest bank roll gives you a better head start. I’m going to each ones web site this year and doing all my research myself.
    Ist’n the internet grand…….

Oh and the answer to your last Q: It’s MAERKETING. some has to pay for all the ads, commercials, and hand outs. On a local level this type of cash flow is impossmable. There for there is alot of piggy backing. A small town canadates sign up with a national one to share the heat from the big fiesh’s fire.

Campaign contributions and the way the campaign funds are spent are regulated by the FEC (Federal Election Comission).

Do people make money off campaign contributions. YES, not necessarily the candidates but yes people. The candidates hire a staff of consultants, advisers, etc who are paid for there work. Additionally the companies who produce the campaign advertisements, bumper stickers, T-shirts, etc make a lot of money. Not to mention the shops in the towns that the candidates visit. There is all kinds of money spent and many people who make money by workign for a campaign.
