Gender and race should have NOTHING to do with the election. People should vote for a candidate based on their ideals and how they would make the country better. Those that vote for Hilary because she's a women and Obama because he's black are actually discriminating against men and whites. That is just as bad as the opposite.

it should be about niether….we are in deeeeep crap right now.our focus should be on the economy, job loss, the war, tax breaks…im sick of all the childhood antics, we need someone to turn this around.as a country, we do not need lip service,we need results..we may see soup lines like we had in 1930

Race, gender it makes no difference to me. Either a person is qualified and or has a plan that’ll work and that I agree with. Don’t wave a badge of race or gender in front of me, it’ll only lower my opinion of you (you listening Obama? Hillary?).

I believe it is healthy for a change in who is campaigning. The country has had white men as president and I think its healthy for change. Especially when big things are happening and problems are arising, a new type of leadership from a different background could help for the better.

Obama is the right person at the right time. The U.S. must get past its racial hang-ups, and he the kind of inspirational speaker and leader who offers our last best hope to get it done. (I am white, by the way) That said, a Black woman–the right one– could probably whip both Obama and Hillary!

Race and gender SHOULD have no impact, but we are dealing with humans, who have opinions on race and gender. A world without race and gender issues would be a eutopic idea which my grand children's grand children will not see. It is sad, but a fact none the less.
