What is a sales and marketing campaign?

Posted on March 6th, 2010 by admin

Is the sales and marketing campaign different from each other? Provide an example so I can visualize.

Marketing is above sales in the structural hierarchy. Marketing encompasses such things as sales, advertising, public relations, grassroots campaigns, internet promotions, etc.

Marketing is just a broader category in which sales is a subcategory.

    Sales is to sell something
Marketing is to establish or propogate your business or brand name.

    Two different aims.

They sound different, but all marketing campaign is a way to sale products.
In marketing campaign company is focusing on how to find a new market or increase the market share in existing market.
In sales campaign company make decision to how increase sales.
