Posted on February 27th, 2010 by admin

In January the Supreme Court struck down longstanding restrictions on corporations political campaign spending.
The Citizens United decision allows corporate and union donors to pay for ads that will run within 30 days of a Presidential primary or 60 days of a general election. Previously the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform law barred such spending.

Can you get a PAID job for any political campaign?

Posted on February 26th, 2010 by admin

I’m working towards my college degree in communications and wondering if there are paid jobs on political campaign teams. I realize there are tons of volunteers but I never heard of any professional paid jobs at least for someone like me who would be coming right out of college.
I have some beliefs that would tick off some Republicans and some other beliefs that would tick off Democrats. I’m pretty sure you would to agree to a certain platform before being hired, right?

Not really you just have to be able to do a job, most beginner jobs on campaigns are volunteer and you have to have some experiance, if you volunteer while you are in college, you stand a good chance of getting hired, I imagine a degree in commuications would serve you well, but I also imagine that you would need some background in Political Science.

I am involved in a political campaign in my county and would like to know how to send a mass text message.?

Posted on February 24th, 2010 by admin

I am trying to get the youth out to vote and read that sending a txt message is a good way to attract young voters. Does anyone know how I would obtain a cell phone list of numbers? Is it legal? Or, what would be some other strategic ways to get the youth to the polls?

Its legal but I wouldn’t send it on a text message. Some phones cant hold a text message over 180 characters. Send a flyer instead.

How do you feel about race and gender in the 2008 political campaign?

Posted on February 22nd, 2010 by admin

I am writing a research paper and I need opinions from every aspect. Please feel free to express your opinions.

Thomas. California, Lakewood. Conservative.
Race, gender it makes no difference to me. Either a person is qualified and or has a plan that’ll work and that I agree with. Don’t wave a badge of race or gender in front of me, it’ll only lower my opinion of you (you listening Obama? Hillary?).

How is a presidential political campaign and example of marketing ?

Posted on February 20th, 2010 by admin

if you are paying attention, oblamea has not stopped campaigning yet. He is traveling more than any other president in history (when our economy is in the toliet, we get to pay for air force one to go from state to state) marketing his lies. Yet, he has not even brought up welfare reform, healthcare reform or tort reform.
