The BNP is raising money with sponsered walks. This after they praised themselves for being in a "question time style debate" in a secondary school.

Are any other parties looking so low for their proud moments?

Well certainly not the ones who’re helping themselves to our money via dodgy deals with the unions, or accepting huge donations from people who don’t even live in the UK.

Isn’t it refreshing to know that there’s at least one party that isn’t in debt to some fat cat string puller and actually serves its members instead?

It isn’t easy to find out. When a high-profile politician "meets the public" they are usually carefully stage-managed events in front of a handful of party activists. Even where it is a public meeting, they are usually shepherded in via a back door, so afraid are they of having to face genuine questions.

(Personal experience of a protest outside a meeting where Patricia Hewitt was attending. I didn’t get as much of a sniff of her).
