You Can Speak Out Now

Posted on March 17th, 2010 by admin

Today we launch an uncompromising £1.2m advertising campaign refused permission to air on TV by regulators in memory of bullied school girl Megan Gillan, whose life was cut short after facing continual bullying both online and in school on January 19th 2009.

Megans family has fully endorsed the campaign with the hope that no other family suffers the loss we have.

The advert, refused permission to air on TV by Clearcast (formerly the BACC), depicts a teenage girl sewing her mouth closed, symbolising the way victims feel silenced by bullies. It is this imagery which Clearcast deemed too brutal an image for young audiences. However, the disturbing imagery is designed to drive awareness of the devastating effects bullying can have.

However, the ad, produced by award winning agency M&C Saatchi, can be seen online debuting on YouTubes homepage as part of a major charity partnership tie-in.

Text SPEAKOUT to 84459

Why not donate just £3 to Beatbullying? The cost of your text to 84459 will be charged at £3.00 plus your standard network text charge. Service is available for UK mobiles only.

How is advertising budget planned? What are the heads under which advertising campaign plan can be divided.?

Posted on March 2nd, 2010 by admin

Advertising Costs:
- Agency Costs (creative services and time)
- Production Costs
- Public Relations
- Research/Studies

Media Costs:
- TV
- Radio
- Online (display and search)
- Newspapers
- Magazines
- Non-traditional
- Out of Home (billboards, transit, etc.,)

That’s a good place to start. Generally, 80% of an entire budget is reserved for media.

Will this whirlwind of the world provide useful video clips for Obama’s advertising campaign this Fall?

Posted on February 28th, 2010 by admin

Later, after this tour, ends and memories of voters with ADD’s dim a bit, clips of Obama with world leaders and standing around famous backdrops will possibly give him more credibility as a world leader, more so than McCain. It is Friday, Where is Obama off to next?
Once he has all those cool pictures he can add an voice overs any way he wants to. Whatever needs to be said at just the right time. Like the big ad campaigns.

Political candidates are packaged, marketed, and sold like a can of beans. They all do it.

What do you think of Togo’s Sandwiches new Advertising Campaign?

Posted on February 26th, 2010 by admin

You know, that picture of the weird, creepy, looking guy on their commercials. At my local Togo’s they even have a picture of him pasted to the glass near the trashcan. Personally, I think it’s disgusting and really has the potential to ruin your appetite. What do you think?

It actually caught my attention. I thought it was funny that he was talking to the Pastrami Sandwich. Did you see the sandwich? I ended up getting the Pastrami.
