    I dont think anyone here said they thought corporations didnt already have influence. I think most reasonable people would agree that their influence in the system is a problem. Money tied to our political system is a problem.

    And now weve had a decision handed down that floods MORE money and influence from corporations.

    Typical American solution to a problem………
    “lets just throw more money at it and it will get better! Trust us! We know what we are doing”

    Of …

    @duffer29
    Of cousre foreign entities already have leverage.

    Now, weve given them unlimited leverage. Good idea.
    Who is goiing to buy the debt? China and others already own most of our money. We will never pay it off.
    And knowing this, our leaders have given them MORE power and influence over our system.

    Im simply amazed that you guys are here arguing FOR more foreign influence!

    WOW.

    1889 minneapolis …
    1889 minneapolis and st louis railroad v. beckwith.
    supreme court rules corporations are a person regarding the 14th ammendment, the bill of rights and due process.

  4. duffer29 Says:

    i’m hoping they …
    i’m hoping they stay delusional but not counting on it.

  5. dalmatian847 Says:

    If they thought …
    If they thought this week was bad, wait until the first week of November 2010.

    After that, they’ll look back at this week nostalgically.

  6. dalmatian847 Says:

    The Fifteenth …
    The Fifteenth Amendment (Amendment XV) to the United States Constitution prohibits each government in the United States from denying a citizen the right to vote based on that citizen’s “race, color, or previous condition of servitude” (i.e., slavery). It was ratified on February 3, 1870

    Clearly the word CITIZEN is stated,

    Too easy.

  7. dalmatian847 Says:

    Heres some more …
    Heres some more free speech STFU, moron.

    If you think corporations haven’t been buying elections this whole time, you are a collosal imbecile.

    You might want to check Obama’s top donors in 2008 if you think otherwise.

  8. duffer29 Says:

    you have about 130 …
    you have about 130 years of supreme court opinion against you.
    foreign entities ALREADY have huge leverage, who do you think is going to buy the debt of 1.3 trillion that bambi plans on running up this year.
    being able to produce a commecial is the least of our worries.

  9. dalmatian847 Says:

    anyone who thinks …
    anyone who thinks corporations don’t already have a major influence in elections is an idiot.

  10. dalmatian847 Says:

    Bribery is …
    Bribery is something that fall under a high crime and is an impeachable offense.

  11. duffer29 Says:

    well, in liberals …
    well, in liberals defense they had a very bad week. brown won in mass, the president made a fool of himself on tv by saying the brown victory was the result of anger at the bush administration.
    that was just special, that bush, he was SO bad that he made the most liberal state in the country vote for a republican to the right of bush.
    that’s simply delusional.
    and the court ruled in favor of the constitution, always a bad thing where liberals are concerned.

    @ dalmation847:
    Look at the 14th amendment that describes who is considered a citizen. How many times do you see the word “person” and how many times do you see the word “corporation”? people=5, corporation=0.

  13. dalmatian847 Says:

    Golman Sachs gave …
    Golman Sachs gave Obama $1 million

    SEIU gave him $60 million.

    Your point, again?

  14. lathzz Says:

    @duffer29 ;
    THe …

    @duffer29 ;
    THe first amendment pertains to individuals and their right to freedom of speech, expression, assembly and right to petition.
    Corporations are NOT individuals. Therefore, they do not deserve individual rights as citizens. Plain and simple.
    And as I stated before, corporations are not even neccesarily AMERICAN. Do you not understand this?
    This decision effectively gives foreign entities massive leverage on our system.

    Are you Chinese?

  15. fishingriver Says:

    Here is free speech …
    Here is free speech… GFY

    Corporations being allowed to buy our elections are not. How simple does it have to be for you conservative morons to understand?

  16. dalmatian847 Says:

    @duffer. reading is …
    @duffer. reading is a skill liberals seem to lack when it comes to the Constitution.

    The pretty straightforward stuff, like “a right to bear arms” which clearly states individuals, they claim doesn’t “really” mean that.

    They do however find many imaginary texts in it that do not exist.
