BILL MOYERS JOURNAL | Justice At Stake | PBS
Posted on February 24th, 2010 by admin
Bill Moyers Journal takes a hard look at how campaign cash in judicial races may sway America’s courts. The Journal revisits the 1999 FRONTLINE special “Justice for Sale” which reported on the growing concern — even among Supreme Court justices themselves — that campaign contributions may be corrupting the judicial process. Bill Moyers airs Friday nights at 9 pm on PBS. Check your local listings. http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/02192010/watch3.html

I don’t know why …
I don’t know why we’ve stuck to the “honor code” when we see over and over what happens when you let the foxes guard the henhouse: where we expect eggs, all we get are piles of feathers. People in power cannot police themselves. I don’t understand why the Citizens United case so effects corporate personhood and “money as speech.” I’ve read the opinions, heard innumerable reports on the decision, and still I just don’t get it. I wish we could have more details specifically on the case.
