Why do people hate negative campaign ads so much?

I love them! I want to hear about all that stuff. It’s all stuff you need to know. Don’t get me wrong, I want to hear about issues, but I want to know what type of distractions a candidate might have should he be elected.
Because after a while it becames a little sicken listening to look look at what skeltons he has to hide when it should be look at what I have done let my record speak for it’s self.

I would rather have a politician talk about his/her accomplishments and reasons I should vote for him, instead of reasons I shouldn’t vote for their opponent. If they can’t give any good reasons to vote for them, what makes them better than the guy the are slamming?

Because there are no ads stating what these candidates actually stand for. It has just gotten out of control in my opinion. Makes it seem like there are no decent politicians left.

Because they are not honorable and are unethical because 99% of the time they are spinning actual fact.
I personally would much prefer honest facts in order for me to base my choice on truth and not be blindsided later by scandal, lies and fraud from some guy who wormed his way into office by using negative smearing.

They are kind of entertaining but I don’t like it when a candidate launches a totally negative campaign. Don’t tell me how bad the other candidate is, tell me why you deserve my vote. Tell me what you are going to do if elected. A lot of ads are fabrications anyway. It is too much to ask for honesty in politics. I recently saw where a state senate candidate was saying something bad about his opponent when he had voted for the same thing…I felt like I was in Massachusetts listening to John Kerry.
