If I take millions in illegal campaign contributions, should it be from ex-cons or upstanding citizens?

Posted on January 24th, 2010 by admin

I think I should probably take the illegal money from ex-cons and Chinese nationals.

That will make it easier to discredit them when I’m caught!

Then I can take the money and keep running for office, right?
Good answer bitterpill, I’m only perpetuating the false dichotomy that was presented to me.

Only if your a good democrat, if you are a Republican you will be shamed in the media, forced to leave public office and end up selling used cars in Encino California:)

How much money did Obama and McCain together spent on campaigns?

Posted on January 24th, 2010 by admin

How much money did Obama and McCain spend on all their campaigns combined?

Obama spent 10 times more than McCain. And even went back on his promise about how he would get money.
Imagine what else he’ll lie about.

In designing the marketing and advertising campaign for a soft drink or a new beer?

Posted on January 24th, 2010 by admin

which would you find more helpful:
information about consumer demographics or consumer lifestyles? and why?

I think demographic. It will be useful to know if you’re marketing to old or young people, men or women, where most of your consumers live etc. Then you could make an assumption about their lifestyle. Lifestyle doesn’t seem super important for these products.

What cost effective things can be done in running a university or college election campaign?

Creative ideas will be highly appreciated.

Flyers and a myspace or facebook mailer.

Do an alumni search for current students….email them.

I want to cover a political campaign. What do I have to do to earn a spot as a reporter for that campaign ?

Posted on January 24th, 2010 by admin

Specifically, i’m looking at the presidental campaigns of Mitt Romney and/or Hillary. I want to be able to travel along with the campaigns and get that "inside access." Any suggestions/tips would be helpful.

Get hired by one of the media, and have them assign you to one of the campaigns. Good luck on that, as a spot with Hilary’s campaign will be very desirable, as a leading candidate and very controversial. You probably would have a better shot with Romney, as few think he has much chance, which would cut down the number of reporters who would want to bother.
Much of Hilary’s press is already assigned, I would assume, at least by major media such as the four main TV networks and the the major radio nets. Certainly the major press services like AP, UPI and Reuters have people assigned. For Hilary, your best shot might actually be to find some foreign media that is just thinking about assigning someone. You would have an advantage as already in the USA, but if you don’t speak their language, forget it. This still leaves some media from the UK, Canada, South Africa, Australia, maybe India. But be imaginative if they bomb out, there are all sorts of minor English speaking countries, like Belize, New Zealand, Trinidad and Tobago.

Bhay Ho BJP Election Campaign theme to counter Congress (sickulars) election theme of Jai Ho!

Aaja aaja voter is jhanse ke tale, aaja aaja jhoote moothe vade ke tale Bhay ho bhook ho. (beckoning the voter, the ditty asks him to take shelter under false promises and then says let fear spread, let hunger spread).

Ratti ratti sachi hamne jaan ganvai, bhooke pet jaag jaag raat bitayi, mandi ki maar mein naukri ganva di, gin gin vade hamne jindagi bita di, mandi ho, atank ho, mahangai ho, bhay ho, phir bhi jai ho (We lost lives through dark terrible nights, we have kept awake with empty stomachs, the economic slowdown has taken away our jobs, we have spent a lifetime counting false promises, let there be a slowdown, let terrorism flourish, let prices rise, let fear spread, even then we will say, victory is ours )

US ends political campaign spending limits

Posted on January 23rd, 2010 by admin

The US supreme court has issued a landmark ruling that will change the way US election campaigns are financed.

By a 5 to 4 vote, the court lifted long-standing limits on corporate spending in political campaigns, opening the door for private entities to flood the political marketplace with corporate money.

Al Jazeera’s John Terrett explains why it is likely to have an immediate effect on the upcoming Congressional elections in November.

Christopher Knight for School Board TV Commercial #1

Posted on January 20th, 2010 by admin

This is the now-infamous “Star Wars” commercial that I made for my campaign for Rockingham County Board of Education in 2006. It wound up being featured in The New York Times, on the Fox News Channel, every major newspaper in the state, on National Public Radio, the Canadian Broadcasting Company, by the Heritage Foundation, and it was screened at the Pixelodeon Independent Video Festival at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles in June of 2007. It’s been shown on VH1’s show “Web Junk 2.0″, on E! Entertainment Television’s show “The Soup”, and it was also proclaimed the “Best campaign commercial ever” by George Lucas’s Edutopia website!

And yes: this (along with two more commercials) DID broadcast on local television – on WGSR Star 39 in Reidsville, North Carolina – during the month leading up to the 2006 election. I did not win a seat. But I came in 8th place out of 16 candidates with 4,648 votes… which is a LOT, all things considered. And I wasn’t that far off from getting a seat either: it was pretty close across the board for the most part. I’m *extremely* happy with how well I did :-)

Also, I know that I look horrible in the legal bumper at the beginning. That was filmed after going without sleep for three days straight. Please be kind :-)
