What does an advertising campaign discouraging drinking have on supply and demand?

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

i know it decreases demand, but how does this affect supply and what are some other effects?

if you want to increase your demand on you campaign, you should make a research before started your drinking business. You should know what is S.W.O.T.
You also need to learn how to make research on internet.
For example, you can try too find what people drink in this trend.

Can the public find out which Media outlets have contributed to election campaigns, and which campaign?

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

If you have a link for that information, I would be grateful.

I have a link for 2004 but not 2008, and would like further links so hopefully others can provide more.

http://la.indymedia.org/news/2003/04/47530.php

EDIT: I found some links for corporate contributions. You would need to research the corporations to determine if they own media. I see a few corporations known to own TV networks and newspapers (e.g., the ones easily identified by name Microsoft, Time Warner), but that is only from a cursory review.

Obama: http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/contrib.asp?id=N00009638&cycle=2008

Clinton: http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/contrib.asp?id=N00000019&cycle=2008

McCain: http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/contrib.asp?id=N00006424&cycle=2008

I notice something that speaks to matters I have mentioned repetitively on this board. Do you notice how all of the big financial power players back ALL of the leading candidates. Very telling. Do you also notice how they do not support Ron Paul:

http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/contrib.asp?id=N00005906&cycle=2008

Ron Paul has a plan to put control of the financial system back into the hands of the government. The media doesn’t report that to any deserving degree.

Should churches lose their tax exemption status for financially supporting a political campaign?

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

In the 2008 election the mormon (and other) churches financially supported the "Yes on 8" campaign. Considering the laws separating church and state, shouldn’t these churches lose their tax exempt status?

No. And there is no Constitutional Amendment, or clause, that states that there is shall be a separation of church and state. The First Amendment protects religion from the government, not the other way around.

Can you remember which ad campaign it was?

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by admin

This ad campaign featured a picture of an object posted once with one word across it, and then again with a different and very contrasting word. It was using your perspective shifts to grab your attention.

For example: A picture of a piggy bank saying full, and then the same picture again but saying empty.

I remember seeing these ads as I entered and exited my flights. Can anybody remember which company was using this for their advertising?
Thanks!

mcdonald used that kind of ad when they started supersizing their food… first they show a small fry then a supersized fry that would only cost a few cents more

What is the optimum number of "touches" in a marketing campaign for the best results?

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by admin

This assumes that each prospect "touch", whether is is an email, phone call, letter or whatever is the best it can be.

4-7 Less you aren’t seen enough, more you’re annoying.

Voters: when campaign ads come on the television, do you watch them or change the channel?

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by admin

The question applies to either candidate?

both of these men only have ads going for them so i don’t watch them at all. it will tell me nothing abt how they plan to solve the countries problems like the recession, the housing crisis, alternative fuel, etc. bashing each other is all they can do they both have no class or intelligence in my opinion. i mean as the days go by its certain one way or another the us is in for a third bush term if either obama or mccain get in. mccain stumbles and fumbles along as obama flip flops and goes on vacation afer vacation. lets face facts here mcain is just too old and hes not young at heart he needs to retire since hes done nothing wonderful in his life up until this point for the american people, obama is just too shady and a mass of contradictions wrapped up in a pretty media made package. hrc spoke solutions and didn’t need to run on ads she had real credibility thats why her supporters are continueing to fight for her since shes the only light in a rather dismal picture. obama and mccain are the same old politicians selling the same old tired lines and hoping that people will be stupid enough to buy it. hillary has the guts, and the stamina and the intelligence and notable accomplishments. hrc for president BRING IT ON i say

Our Reactions to the Presidential Campaign?

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by admin

I think we all can admit that this Presidential election has become really ugly, disrespectful, dishonest and sometimes hateful. I understand that some people are intense and passionate about their political views; however, I’m amazed and embarrassed about our reactions about the candidates during the campaign. Why is it that we can not disagree and be civil to each other at the same time. As Americans, we look so immature when we fight over petty things and avoid the issues! Also, why is the UNITED States separated by parties?

John McCain is getting the same type of media Richard nixon did first time around and his campaign is sadly beginning to remind me more and more of bob dole. Obama has obviously made this historicall and is a media machine probably even more so than Clinton. If McCain wins I will be amazed. The 2 party system reassures Americans a democracy if it were limited to 1 party it would be communism.

Is it Appropriate for Hillary Clinton to take Campaign contributions from President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by admin

Is it an appearance of impropriety for Hillary Clinton’s campaign organization to take contributions from Iran?

Don’t be ridiculous. You’ve sunk to a new low.

What are your thoughts on Presidential candidates and their campaigns?

Posted on November 25th, 2009 by admin

I am wondering what you all think and how you might suggest we go about changing if you agree.

Personally, I’m sick and tired already of the slamming candidates, their parties and other special interest groups do on the negatives of the candidates in the media. I was just reading how Mr. McCain’s chosen person in the election has to undergo massive inquiry into their financial status, history and anything that could be construed as negative – her pregnant teenage daughter etc. Additionally, when I hear of the massive funds that go into these campaigns I wonder what the presidential race really is all about….

Who agrees with me (or doesn’t) regarding the negative media between candidates and why?

Do you think we lose high- quality presidential candidates due to their lack of money to campaign? Do you think we lose such candidates due to their lack of desire to have their family lives ripped apart and made big of by the press? Do you think this is right and what kinds of things could we do as citizens to change this? I mean, we’re human, I would rather hear from each candidate ONLY how they intend to make the US a better place for as many people as possible – I think the campaign dollars would be much better spent outlining the facts of how each has voted on certain types of bills within congress (to allow us to establish what we think are their mindsets on the issues), giving each a certain amount of space to tell us what their ideas are – then mail it out in a pamphlet to each and every American – so we get equal information that’s positive. Frankly, I’m appalled at the press we see and the money spent for nothing more than mud-slinging, often inaccurate.
dastackable – tell us how – and I am wondering how we’ll ever avoid politicians seeking to please big money corps since big money feeds all the lobbyists – as in court, big money will win the day – I’m looking for how us regular people can make an impact.
folks – I’m looking for how a little person – the general public, can bring about a change. We should all vote, but personally I feel vulnerable when doing so as the media skews views (like thru mudslinging). How can I really mine the information I need – I mean I THINK there’s a public reocrd somewhere of voting history, but how to get to it to make some informed decisions outside of the media. I don’t trust even the evening news anymore to give me an accurate, non-partisan view.

i think mccain is a good candidate because he is a moderate. he doesn’t go along with party views just because they are party views. on the other hand, obama does. no matter what, he is extreme democrat….which, if he is genuine in his motives…may help us…or might put us deeper in debt and leave national security at risk. hard to make a decision.
