Is there a policy or procedure to follow when creating an ad campaign?

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

There is someone I work with who has trouble following art direction. I need to type up formal policy and procedures to following when creating an ad. Our ads include photography and selecting models. Please help!

I would recommend that you try implementing a Creative Brief. A creative brief gets everyone on the same page: the client, the writer, the art director/designer, even the production manager.

A good creative brief outlines the scope of the project, the objective of the piece, the target audience, key messages, tone and "personality" of the design and the method by which the results of the piece will be measured.

If you send me an e-mail, I will send you an outline for a Creative Brief that I have used.

Good luck.

What happens when you call the phone number for the District 9 viral marketing campaign?

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

It said to call 1.866.666.6001. to report an alien or speak to a representative.

it picks up and asks you what you’re calling for, then an alien breaks in and cuts off the operator and tells you all about how they are being held against their will. its pretty cool atually.

How can you trust a candidate if he’s already running dishonest campaign ads? Giuliani is re-writing history

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

by claiming the Iranians released our hostages because Reagan became President. REALITY CHECK – The Algiers Accords ended the hostage crisis and were negotiated by the outgoing Carter Administration.
Both Giuliani and some of the answerers need to go back to history class.
RTO – My Republican Party should stop taking credit for the achievements of others. Dishonesty is not a virtue.

Don’t worry – Hillary will kick him to the curb. (anyway, they all end up running dishonest ads. It has always been that way.)

Will Mitt Romney get a big tax break from loaning $17 million to his failing Presidential campaign?

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

Once he has disbanded his Presidential campaign organization which doesn’t repay him, can he claim that as a deduction?
Seems like it would be a business loan that is written off if not repaid, at least that’s the impression I get from reading news accounts.

George Bush gave him a big one already. Mitt says he wants to continue the presidents tax policy plus repealing the inheritance (death) tax. He sure wants to help himself…

Why do you think the AMA uses campaign contributions over litigation & lobbying to pursue their goals?

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

why do they choose campaign contributions over litigation and grassroots lobbying/mass mobilization?

Campaign contributions provide quicker results. You can hold an elected official’s feet to the fire when it comes time to repay that contribution.

where can i find good pics of current ad campaigns running in the fashion industry?

Posted on November 27th, 2009 by admin

I’m an advertising major, and I love fashion. It’d be nice if i could find pics of all their current campaigns

Try some of the popular magazines for the style of clothing that you most enjoy. For the hip-hop and casual, try ROLLING STONE or EBONY. For a more elegant, refined look, try GQ. And don’t just look at the clothing ads – look at car ads, cologne ads, etc. Clothing styles are reflected in all manner of advertising.
